Bio

To say that L.R. was born in the business may be an overstatement - but not much. Her first professional credit was on the sitcom, Gimme A Break at the tender age of 8 weeks. Following in the footsteps of her famous late grandmother, the ground-breaking comedienne, Totie Fields, L.R.’s career to date includes work Off-Broadway, and at regional theaters such as Steppenwolf, Goodspeed Opera House, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Walnut Street Theatre, as well as numerous TV and film appearances, operas and dozens of commercials. Having worked coast to coast with some of the nation's most noted theatres, L.R. is now actively pursuing her career in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.

On a more Classical note, L.R. appeared in the title role of Hansel in “Hansel & Gretel”, and The Child in “L'Enfant et les Sotileges” for the Opera Theatre of Weston. Other operatic productions include, “Die Fledermaus” as Adele, “The Magic Flute” as Papagena, Amahl in “Amahl and the Night Visitors” and “The Happy Prince” as the Swallow. Most recently, she played Mary Lennox in the regional premiere of Nolan Gasser and Carey Harrison’s new operatic version of “The Secret Garden”

Offstage, L.R. enjoys fitness, old movies, art, reading, yoga, cooking, baking, and adventures with her rescued pekingese, Mulan. An avid equestrian, L.R. was trained by George Morris, Diane Carney, and Joe Forrest. She is nationally ranked in both the Hunter and Jumper rings, is a former champion junior rider, and is a bona-fide "pony jockey". She always loves being able to spend time with her horses, Cinci and Phoenix! L.R. has contributed chapters to the book, AN APPLE A DAY published by Half Halt Press, had a column in SHOW CIRCUIT Magazine, in addition to various articles and artwork in the CHRONICLE OF THE HORSE and Towerheads. When not in production, she can also be found working on new plays and musicals with the REBIRTH THEATRE COMPANY, where she is a founding ensemble member.

In her spare time, you can find her at EQUINOX teaching Group Fitness Classes, working with students in her Voice Studio, and coaching clients as a NASM Personal Trainer.

L.R. is a graduate of The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, where she received her Degree and Masters in Music and Vocal Performance. She has been fortunate enough to study with renowned tenor, Neil Rosenshein.
